One of my major interests and enthusiasms is classical music and particularly opera. I have been a regular opera goer since the 1960s. I review operas for a number of publications: Opera, the world’s leading opera magazine of London, founded in 1950, with good international coverage; Auditorium, Europe’s newest groundbreaking visual & performing arts magazine, with both print and on-line editions; The Bangkok Post and The Nation – two English language daily newspapers published in Bangkok; and the Asia Arts Review. Auditorium has recently been having some problems, but still continues via Facebook.

I support various initiatives to help young musicians and singers, including Les Azuriales, an Anglo-French charity which focuses on finding truly outstanding young artists and making a significant difference to their early operatic careers, and Siam Sinfonietta, the international prize-winning youth orchestra from Bangkok, and Siam Opera, the ambitious and adventurous Bangkok Opera Company.

I shall be adding further material to this page shortly.
